Double Laminar Flow Cabinet

Laminar flow cabinets are designed to provide a clean, particle-free working environment by delivering filtered air in a uniform flow across the workspace. Typically, these units are compact and built for individual tasks. However, a customer approached us with a request for a much larger horizontal laminar flow solution – one that would offer an extended, uninterrupted workspace for their process. 

To meet this requirement, we developed a fully custom, double-sized laminar flow worktop that delivered both the clean air performance and the operational flexibility the customer needed.

The key objectives of this project were: 

  • Large Clean Workspace: To provide a spacious, particle-free working area that could accommodate a wide process layout 

  • High Visibility and Integration: To ensure the unit fit seamlessly into the customer’s existing laboratory setup 

  • Mobility and Ease of Use: To allow the unit to be relocated with ease and offer intuitive controls for daily operation

Our team designed a bespoke double-length horizontal laminar flow worktop, offering: 

  • A non-corrosive stainless steel work surface, providing durability and cleanability across an extended working area 

  • Side glass panels for maximum visibility and light transmission 

  • A support stand at standard laboratory height, enabling seamless integration with surrounding furniture and workflow 

  • Wheeled castors for full mobility, allowing the unit to be repositioned as needed  

  • A built-in touchscreen control panel for intuitive operation 

  • A filter pressure gauge to monitor filter performance and maintain optimal airflow
