when containment of materials is your primary concern
Negative Pressure Isolators provide a fully enclosed clean air environment designed to contain hazardous materials and protect personnel during high-risk pharmaceutical processes.
Operating under negative pressure relative to the surrounding environment, these isolators ensure that substances remain securely contained, making them ideal when preventing the escape of hazardous materials is your primary concern.
Isolators from Contained Air Solutions combine robust containment performance with ergonomic design and a range of customisable options to meet the specific safety and workflow requirements of your application.
HOW A NEGATIVE ISOLATOR WORKS
The interior of the Isolator is kept at a lower pressure than its surroundings to prevent the outflow of harmful materials while the working space is bathed in a down-flow of sterile air.
Operator access to the Isolator is by means of gloves mounted in the front viewing screen. These can either be full arm gauntlets or sleeve pieces with rigid cuffs to allow the use of different types of gloves and to facilitate rapid and economical replacement in the event of damage.
Materials may be introduced or removed via the ventilated transfer hatches, usually one on each side of the isolator. The transfer hatches have electrically interlocked hinged doors preventing both doors being opened at the same time; this prevents any room air entering the main work zone.
Air from the room passes through HEPA filters mounted on the top of the transfer hatches, from each transfer hatch the air then flows through rear wall HEPA filters and passes into a rear plenum. This then mixes with air from the work area, passing through work zone HEPA filters mounted in the rear wall of the isolator body, part of the air is re-circulated through down-flow HEPA filters and the remainder of the air is returned to the room via the recirculation module containing double HEPA filters or alternatively if the isolator is a ducted model the air will be vented through a dedicated extract system to atmosphere.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

I do have to say that the quality of the cabinets is really good, UKHSA are very pleased.

We are very satisfied with our equipment and overall the customer service has been fantastic, we will definitely come back to CAS in future if we need anything.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the help and assistance provided to the KEMH engineering team.

I wanted to make sure it was recognised that the lads worked their behinds off to make sure I got my cabinets in place before I left for the day. Deliveries like that make my life much easier!!

I do have to say that the quality of the cabinets is really good, UKHSA are very pleased.

Our service has just concluded, please pass on our thanks to the visiting engineers – we were impressed with their efficiency and how smoothly this service round went.

The communications generally from CAS were excellent and Brian was great when on site.

The team were extremely hard working with no task being too much trouble, even offering to help other contractors that were working within the small space that we had available to us. They really couldn’t have been any more accommodating.

Just a quick email to say how grateful we are for how everything ran on Friday, we were very impressed by the speed with which everything was smoothed out and taken care of.

All good service as usual from CAS. Your engineer was very helpful, thorough and professional.
