when aseptic conditions and product protection are your primary concern

Positive Pressure Isolators provide a fully enclosed clean air environment designed to maintain sterile conditions and protect pharmaceutical products during critical processes.

Operating under positive pressure relative to the surrounding environment, these isolators ensure that airborne contaminants are kept out, making them ideal when preserving product sterility is your primary objective.

Isolators from Contained Air Solutions combine proven performance with ergonomic design and a range of customisable options to meet the specific safety and workflow requirements of your application.

HOW A POSITIVE ISOLATOR WORKS

The interior of the Isolator is kept at a higher pressure than its surroundings this ensures the work area does not get any ingress of room air; the working space is bathed in a down-flow of sterile air.

Operator access to the Isolator is by means of gloves mounted in the front viewing screen. These can either be full arm gauntlets or sleeve pieces with rigid cuffs to allow the use of different types of gloves and to facilitate rapid and economical replacement in the event of damage.

Materials may be introduced or removed via the ventilated transfer hatches, usually one on each side of the isolator. The transfer hatches have electrically interlocked hinged doors preventing both doors being opened at the same time; this prevents any room air entering the main work zone.

Air from the room passes through down-flow HEPA filters providing sterile air in the work zone, part of the air re-circulates through rear wall HEPA filters with the remainder of the air passing through a rear plenum. The air then passes into the transfer hatch via a rear wall HEPA filter and out of the transfer hatch via a HEPA filter mounted on top of the transfer hatch.
