CLASS 3 BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINETS
Class 3 Biological Safety Cabinets provide the highest level of protection for operators, products, and the environment when handling the most hazardous materials (up to Hazard Group 4). Inflow air is HEPA-filtered before entering the fully enclosed work area to deliver a clean, particle-free workspace, and exhaust air passes through double HEPA filters to prevent the release of contaminants.
Operators work through gloves attached to glove ports, ensuring complete physical barrier protection. This design offers the ultimate safeguard for your processes, personnel, and products.
Class 3 Biological Safety Cabinets from Contained Air Solutions meet BS EN 12469:2000 standards, are independently type-tested by the UKHSA, and can be tailored to your specific requirements.
CLASS 3 AIRFLOW
Inward airflow passes through a HEPA filter before entering the work area, where it circulates clean air and is then HEPA-filtered again before discharge. The discharged air can either be released back into the room (recirculating) or through a building extract system.
Class 3 cabinets are designed for work with all biological agents up to ACDP Hazard Group 4 (HG4) and Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4). For levels 1-3, or where full barrier containment is not required, explore our other Biological Safety Cabinets.
