FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Positive pressure isolators maintain a higher pressure inside the chamber than the surrounding environment, preventing contamination from entering. They are used for sterile product manufacturing.

Negative pressure isolators operate at a lower internal pressure to prevent hazardous substances from escaping. They are used for handling cytotoxic drugs and other dangerous materials.

Yes, we offer a range of configurations, including 2 or 4 glove port arrangements, pressure modes (positive or negative), transfer hatches, and utility connections. Our isolators can also be tailored with a variety of accessories to meet your specific operational needs.

Our isolators are designed to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, ISO 14644-7 standards for clean air environments, and EU GMP Annex 1 for sterile manufacturing.

Pharmaceutical isolators require regular maintenance to ensure they continue to operate effectively and provide optimal containment or aseptic conditions. It is recommended that isolators undergo servicing at least once per year, with more frequent servicing required for critical applications handling hazardous substances or sterile products.

Our service team offers comprehensive maintenance packages tailored to your needs, ensuring your isolator remains fully compliant with industry standards while maintaining peak performance.

At Contained Air Solutions, we offer pharmaceutical isolators for pharmaceutical preparations.
