Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets

Bespoke manufacture and design to suit your exact requirements

Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets

Horizontal laminar flow cabinets from CAS are designed to provide Grade A GMP air quality.

Product details

We offer a range of horizontal laminar flow products that are custom designed and manufactured to suit your exact requirements. Horizontal laminar flow products provide ultraclean working conditions for medical, general laboratory and the manufacture of sensitive electronic devices.

Products include:

  • Horizontal laminar flow units
  • Vertical laminar flow units
  • Laminar flow benches and hoods
  • Laminar flow cabinets and booths

All horizontal laminar flow products are designed to provide product protection by creating a particle-free working environment in accordance with EU GMP Grade A. This is achieved by passing air through an HEPA filter, which then provides an aseptic laminar air flow across the main working area.

The horizontal range of laminar flow cabinets utilise air taken from the laboratory, which is drawn inwards through a high efficiency pre-filter, trapping larger particles before the air is then passed through a HEPA filter. The air is discharged over the work area in a horizontal unidirectional stream providing a sterile working environment.

Applications:

  • General and routine hospital pharmacy operations including preparation of IV and TPN bags
  • Laboratory tissue culture work where sterility of the work is essential
  • Pharmaceutical handling of liquids or powders where sterility is essential, but the operation presents no hazard to the operator
  • Manufacture and assembly of micro-electronic components in a sterile environment
