Class 2 Microbiological Safety Cabinets
Class 2 Microbiological Safety Cabinets provide operator and product protection by a combination of constant inflow and downflow air.
- Inflow air is drawn underneath the main worksurface through the open front aperture of the cabinet.
- Inflow Air is then passed through a downflow HEPA filter into the main workspace. This provides a uni-directional downward laminar airflow inside the cabinet and also an air curtain at the front aperture preventing release of airborne particulate contamination.
- Exhaust air is HEPA filtered before leaving the cabinet via a single HEPA filter for exhaust models or double HEPA filters for recirculating type cabinets
